Magh Mela will be organised as Mini Kumbh: ADG Zone

The Police department has  kicked off their preparations of Magh Mela, in view of which   Bhoomi Pujan  was performed at  Magh Mela Police Line on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion  ADG Zone Bhanu Bhaskar, said that this time, hi-tech arrangements security arrangements are being made in Magh Mela like Mini Kumbh, with the help of modern equipment.

For keeping strict vigil of entire mela area 14 police stations and two additional police out  posts are being built in Magh Mela instead of 13. Every nook and corner will be monitored with the help of drones and other equipment.

Mr. Bhaskar, further said that Mahakumbh is to be organized next year. Therefore, its preparation has started from now. The greatest emphasis of the Police Commissioner and District Magistrate is on the training of policemen. They will be given training before Kumbh so that the devotees do not face any problem.

In view of security, apart from ATS and STF, central agencies will also be engaged in helping. Some proposal has been sent by the Police Commissioner. The number and equipment of water police is being increased.

On the occasion Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma, DM Navneet Singh Chahal, all DCPs and other police officers performed Bhoomi Pujan with Vedic rituals and chanting. All the officers performed hawan and Prayed to Mother Ganga for the safe completion of Magh Mela.
