BJP MP and candidate of Mathura constituency, Hema Malini on Thursday visited a wheat field in Uttar Pradesh.
Hema Malini dropped a few pictures from her meeting with the local farmers.
Taking to X, Malini stated, “Today I went into the farms to interact with the farmers who I have been meeting regularly these 10 years. They loved having me in their midst and insisted I pose with them which I did.”
Hema Malini is fielded by the BJP for the third consecutive time from the Mathura Lok Sabha seat.
From 1991 to 1999, Mathura was firmly under the control of the BJP.
However, in 2004, the political landscape shifted as Mathura fell into the hands of the Congress party.
In 2009, Jayant Chaudhary of the Rashtriya Lok Dal clinched the parliamentary seat representing Mathura.
In 2014, BJP nominated Hema Malini, who won the Mathura seat.
Benefiting from the government’s welfare initiatives, Mathura witnessed the BJP’s triumph once more, securing Hema Malini’s reelection as MP.
Uttar Pradesh elections will be conducted in seven phases, starting from 19 April and ending on 1 June. Vote counting will take place on 4 June.
