Legislator Dr. Rajeshwar Singh’s Initiatives Transform Sarojini Nagar into a Thriving Sports Hub, Inspiring Player Morale

The thrilling culmination of the ‘Inter School Boys Volleyball Championship’ unfolded during the fourth phase of the Sarojini nagar Sports League at SKD Academy in Vrindavan Scheme. The final clash, brimming with unparalleled enthusiasm, featured a riveting battle between PBSN Inter College and S.K.D Academy. The three-phase match showcased intense competition, with each phase contributing to the nail-biting excitement.

In the initial phase, S.K.D Academy secured a victory with 25 points, countered by PBSN Inter College with an equal score. The second phase witnessed S.K.D Academy dominating with 25 points, while PBSN Inter College scored 13. The tension escalated in the third phase, as S.K.D Academy clinched the title with 25 points against PBSN Inter College’s commendable 20 points.

Following the fierce competition, MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh honored the victorious SKD Academy with a cash prize of Rs 25 thousand, along with a citation, volleyball, and trophy. The runner-up team, PBSN Inter College, received Rs 11 thousand in prize money, along with accolades and trophies. Dr. Rajeshwar Singh also extended recognition to the Volleyball Federation of India, presenting them with Rs 21,000.

The ‘Sarojini nagar Sports League,’ initiated by MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh in December 2022, aims to promote youth engagement in sports and provide ample resources for mental and physical well-being. The league, which began with the Under-19 Girls Basketball Tournament, has since hosted a significant cricket championship and a football league. Over 336 players from 28 teams participated in the ‘Inter College Boys Volleyball Championship,’ showcasing their talents and sportsmanship.

During the grand finale, spectators, including MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, passionately cheered for the young athletes, fostering an atmosphere of incredible zeal. The league, spanning various sports, emphasizes the importance of sportsmanship and physical fitness among the youth of Sarojini nagar.

In his address post the Volleyball Championship final, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh underscored the crucial role of sports in shaping disciplined and dedicated citizens. He commended the youth for their participation and highlighted the support from both the Modi government and the Yogi government in promoting sports across the country. Acknowledging the significance of sports in the overall development of youth, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh announced the upcoming ‘Girls Volleyball Championship’ to further enhance the sports culture in Sarojini nagar.

The MLA reiterated his commitment to organizing such competitions for the mental, physical, and economic development of the youth, with the aim of establishing Sarojini nagar as a prominent sports hub and a model assembly. As the Sarojini nagar Sports League continues its journey, it aspires to instill a sense of pride and achievement among the aspiring athletes of the region.
