Late-Night Police Check Turns Violent In Noida, Two Injured

A late-night vehicle check in Sector 20 turned into a gunfight as Noida Police confronted two suspects near DLF T-point public toilet on 19-20 February.

The police flagged down a suspicious Splendor Plus motorcycle without a number plate, but the riders attempted to escape.

When chased, they opened fire near the Sector 18 multi-level parking, prompting police to retaliate.

Suspects Shot, Weapons Recovered

Both suspects sustained injuries in the exchange and were identified as:

  • Shehzad alias Shahid (27) – Resident of Bhagotpur Tadiyal, Uttarakhand
  • Shakir Ahmed (38) – Resident of Daha village, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh

Seized Items

Authorities recovered:

  • A pair of silver anklets and two silver coins.
  • Two country-made pistols (.315 bore) along with cartridges.
  • The unregistered Splendor Plus motorcycle used in the crime.

The injured suspects were taken to a hospital for treatment, and police are verifying their criminal backgrounds.
