A shocking accident occurred in Kolkata as a private bus collided with an SUV at College Junction, a bustling area in Salt Lake Sector 5, on October 2. Reports suggest that the bus was speeding and ran a red light, causing it to flip over after hitting the SUV. The entire incident was captured by a traffic junction’s CCTV camera and quickly became viral on social media.
During the incident, two motorcyclists on the opposite side of the road narrowly avoided a collision as both the bus and SUV raced toward them. The CCTV footage shows several people rushing to assist the passengers of both vehicles.

Thankfully, the motorcyclists, who were wearing helmets, and the SUV’s occupants, who had airbags deployed, did not sustain severe injuries. However, the bus driver and ten passengers were injured out of the 30 people on board.
As a result of the accident, traffic at the intersection experienced disruptions for approximately 40 minutes while the authorities used cranes to remove the bus.

In a separate incident from August in Panchkula, Haryana, a video circulated showing a doctor being dragged on the hood of a car for about 50 meters in a road rage confrontation.
