Mastermind agent of International immigration racket involved in duping people on the pretext of sending them to foreign shores, arrested. One Delhi and one Punjab based agent were arrested earlier.
Thirty four International Passports, four fake VISAS along with other incriminating material recovered from the accused.
Earlier also four passengers and two agents were arrested by the team of IGI Airport, and two case of cheating and fraud were also registered at PS the airport.
On 16.03.2022 on the basis of behavior detection, three passengers, namely Sucha Singh, Surjit Singh and Amandeep Singh, who were supposed to travel to Paris by Vistara Airlines, were found suspicious and then were offloaded by the Airlines. The French Visas affixed on the passports appeared doubtful. The matter was referred by the Airlines to the ALO of German Embassy who after scrutiny declared all the three Visas as fake and counterfeit.
As the passengers tried to cheat Indian Immigration, an FIR under Passport Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
Similarly in the month of March this year also on the basis of behavior detection one passenger, Sushil Kumar, who was supposed to travel to Paris by Air India flight, was found suspicious at the Check In area. On doubt basis, the Airlines officials enquired from the passenger, as the VISA appeared doubtful. The matter was referred by the Airlines to the ALO of German Embassy who after scrutiny declared the French Visa affixed on his passport as fake and counterfeit.
The investigation and arrest was hectic
Following the arrest of the accused Sucha Singh, Surjit Singh and Amandeep Singh, a thorough interrogation went during which they disclosed that they came in contact with agents namely Gurvinder Singh Mokha resident of Uttam Nagar, Delhi and Sandeep Kumar resident of Ropar, Punjab through common friends.
Initially the three accused were assured by the agents that they will be provided with fake Visa of France, in lieu of Rs forty five lakh.(fifteen Lakh each). The deal was finalized for Rs thirty six lakhs and all three passengers made an initial payment Rs five lakh in advance to alleged agents. Accused Agents further introduced them to their associate and mastermind Gaurav Gossain who operates a human trafficking racket from Delhi by sitting in Dubai.
The thorough interrogation proved fruitful
Similarly, during the investigation of the fake passenger Sushil Kumar (Kurukshetra, Haryana) was arrested and interrogated. As per his disclosure, he had come in contact with agent Gaurav Gossain through his own brother, who went to Dubai for tourism purpose and met agent Gaurav Gossain and paid Rs. fifty thousand in advance. The rest of the deal amount of Rs. 12 lakhs was to be handed over to Gaurav by the passenger on his arrival in Europe.
In view of large-scale scam running worldwide duping people on the pretext of sending them to foreign shores and to burst the whole nexus, an Indiara Gandhi Airport Police station team including Inspector Sumit Kumar, ASI Om Prakash, head constables Vineet, Vinod and constable Nitin, under the leadership of SHO Yashpal Singh with an overall supervision of ACP Virender Mor was constituted.
The agents Gurwinder Singh Mokha and Sandeep Kumar fled from their home in Delhi and Punjab since the registration of case and were continuously changing their locations. The team made relentless efforts and finally succeeded in arresting both of them.
The mastermind was operating from Dubai
The mastermind Gaurav Gossain was out of India and was continuously running his illegal international human trafficking syndicate from abroad. Gaurav Gossain was hiding in Dubai and USA and frequently use to travel India to operate his human trafficking racket. Hence his Look Out Circular was issued so that he could be arrested while entering in India. In June-2022, Gaurav Gossain illegally entered in India via Nepal by road. He was using virtual international numbers in India and was using whastsapp calls.
Gaurav’s international whatsapp numbers were kept under surveillance and with through technical surveillance and minutely scrutinizing his phone call records, team zeroed on his movement. The relentless efforts of the team yield result, when the team intercepted the movement of Gaurav Gossain in Delhi. Raid was conducted at available locations and accused Gaurav Gossain was finally arrested from Rohini, Delhi on 8th of December 2022.
