Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Police To Recreate Lohagad Fort Crime Scene

Pune Rural Police are preparing to recreate the crime scene at Lohagad Fort as part of the investigation into the alleged murder of 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal.

The exercise aims to reconstruct the sequence of events and verify the account given by the accused.

Police have completed preparations for the reconstruction, although they have not disclosed the date and time for security and investigative reasons.

Investigators will recreate the alleged crime involving Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Babulal Chaudhary.

Police will use a dummy body to recreate the alleged incident and determine how Ketan Agarwal fell into the ravine.

As no eyewitnesses were present, investigators are relying on circumstantial evidence and have recorded the statements of seven people.

Police questioned Chetan’s employee, Neeraj, but found no evidence linking him to the crime. They said Chetan used Neeraj’s phone on the day of the incident, making him a key witness.

Police allege Siya Goyal and Chetan pushed Ketan from Lohagad Fort on 18 June.

The case was initially treated as an accidental fall before the investigation pointed to alleged murder.

According to police, Siya claimed Ketan had told her that his influential and financially powerful family would not allow her to back out of their marriage.

Investigators also allege she made several attempts to bring him to the fort before the incident.

Police claim an earlier attempt on June 14 failed after Ketan saved himself by holding on to a bush.

Investigators said Siya met Chetan during a business meeting last year, and the two allegedly began a relationship in November 2025 while preparations for her marriage to Ketan were underway.

The allegations remain subject to judicial scrutiny.
