Ketan Agarwal Murder: A 34-Minute Call, Deleted Chats And A Digital Trail

Fresh developments have emerged in the investigation into the alleged murder of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal, with police uncovering crucial digital evidence that points to a carefully planned conspiracy.

Police allege that the prime accused, Siya Goyal, 20, called her alleged lover and co-accused, Chetan Chaudhary, just 34 minutes before Ketan Agarwal was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort.

Forensic analysis of their phones uncovered the call, which investigators believe was the final coordination before the murder.

Police also suspect the duo deleted WhatsApp chats, Instagram messages and voice notes to destroy evidence.

Cyber experts are now recovering the data and matching it with call records and location details.

Police have registered the case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), relating to murder, and believe the recovered digital evidence will strengthen the prosecution’s case.

Police allege that Siya Goyal murdered Ketan Agarwal on 18 June after deciding not to go ahead with their November wedding.

During questioning, Goyal’s brother told police that she met Chetan Chaudhary at a cricket match before the two reconnected through a mutual friend and grew close.

Investigators believe the accused finalised the murder plot by the end of May and made a failed attempt to kill Agarwal on 14 June.

Police allege Chaudhary joined Goyal at Lohagad Fort four days later, where they carried out the fatal attack.

Sources claim the duo began planning the murder as early as February after Chaudhary asked Goyal to delay the marriage while he focused on his career.
