Keshav Prasad Maurya Warns of West Bengal-like Conditions If BJP Fails in 2027

Prayagraj, August 17, 2024: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya addressed the BJP’s organizational meeting at IFFCO and regional public representatives in Andawa on Saturday. He emphasized that the BJP will secure victory in the Phulpur assembly by-election thanks to the efforts of party workers. Maurya linked the upcoming 2024 by-election to the 2027 assembly elections, stressing its significance.

Maurya warned that if the BJP does not win in 2027, the situation in Uttar Pradesh could mirror the current unrest in West Bengal. He asserted, “We must win this by-election at all costs.”

Maurya criticized the opposition for spreading falsehoods during the Lok Sabha elections. He highlighted achievements of the Modi government, such as the removal of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram temple, arguing that the Congress had failed to deliver in 70 years what Modi’s government accomplished in a decade. He also assured that the respect for workers would remain intact.

Cabinet Minister Dayashankar Singh described the Phulpur by-election as both an opportunity and a challenge. He criticized the opposition for creating confusion by falsely claiming threats to the constitution and reservation policies. Singh viewed the by-election as a chance to counter these claims.

Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan noted that although the BJP won the Phulpur Lok Sabha seat, they fell short by 18,000 votes in the Phulpur Assembly. He attributed this gap not to the opposition’s strength but to internal shortcomings.

District President BJP Gangapar Kavita Patel presided over the meeting, which included notable attendees such as Regional President Dilip Patel, MP Phulpur Praveen Patel, District Panchayat President Dr. VK Singh, former MP Keshari Devi Patel, MLA Guru Prasad Maurya, and several other key party members.
