Kerala Man Missing For 1.5 Years Found: Claims Fear Of Wife As Reason For Disappearance

The police made a significant discovery in the case of a missing 34-year-old man from Pathanamthitta district on Friday. After over a year of searching, the man, Noushad, was found in a village near Thodupuzha in Idukki. Interestingly, his discovery came just a day after his 25-year-old wife, Afsana, was arrested in connection with his disappearance.

Afsana’s statement to the police added a twist to the case. She claimed that Noushad had been killed, and his body was buried. However, Noushad had a different account of events. He revealed that he had left home out of fear for his wife, who allegedly had arranged for people to harm him.

According to the police, Noushad had vanished from his rented house in the Kalanjoor area of Pathanamthitta district back in November 2021. Since then, he had been living as a labourer at a farm in Thommankuthu.

The missing case was initially reported by Noushad’s father, prompting the police to initiate an investigation. Afsana’s misleading statement led to her arrest in Koodal, Pathanamthitta. She had earlier claimed to have seen her missing husband recently, raising suspicions.

Following Afsana’s statement about the alleged killing and burial of Noushad, the police took her to specific locations to recover his body. However, the truth took a different turn when Noushad surfaced alive in the neighbouring village.

The case remains under investigation as the authorities piece together the events surrounding Noushad’s disappearance and the conflicting statements provided by the couple. The discovery of Noushad has brought some relief to his family, but the police continue their efforts to uncover the truth behind this intriguing case.
