Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Karchana Railway Station has undergone significant redevelopment aimed at enhancing passenger amenities and ensuring a modern travel experience.
Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of North Central Railway (NCR), Shashikant Tripathi, shared the details of the project during a recent press conference.
Shashikant Tripathi stated that the primary objective of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is to provide travellers with world-class facilities.
The redevelopment of Karchana station is part of this broader initiative to modernise railway infrastructure across the country.
The upgraded station now features a modern and aesthetically designed façade, giving it a contemporary look.
According to the CPRO, the visual appeal of the station reflects both functionality and beauty, enhancing the travel experience for passengers.
Authorities have revamped the ticket counters to make them more efficient and passenger-friendly.
These counters are now designed to facilitate quick and convenient ticket purchasing.
The station waiting area has also been redesigned to offer a comfortable environment.
Passengers can now sit and wait for their trains in a spacious, modern setting, improving overall travel comfort.
The station building itself has been reconstructed with an attractive, modern design that aims to provide a more pleasant and memorable experience to every traveller.
To ensure safe and convenient movement, a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) has been widened to 3 meters.
This allows for easy transit between platforms, even during peak hours.
Attractive mini covered sheds have been installed to protect passengers from rain and sunlight, further adding to commuter convenience. Additionally, the station corridor has been extended to better accommodate passenger flow.
Keeping inclusivity in mind, authorities have constructed ramps and accessible toilets for differently-abled passengers. These facilities ensure that Karachhana station is welcoming and usable for all sections of society.
The newly developed Karchana Railway Station not only meets the growing needs of passengers but also plays a pivotal role in the development of the region. It stands as a symbol of modernity, comfort, and progress under the Indian Railways’ vision for the future.
