Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav Two Other Get Death Threat Emails From Pakistan

Comedian Kapil Sharma has received a death threat via email, police confirmed on Wednesday. The threat, traced to Pakistan, warned of serious consequences if a response was not provided within eight hours. An FIR has been registered with the Amboli Police under section 351(3) of the BNS Act, and investigations are underway.

Kapil Sharma is the latest in a string of Bollywood personalities to receive similar threatening emails. Celebrities like Sugandha Mishra, Rajpal Yadav, and choreographer Remo D’Souza have also filed complaints with the police recently.

According to the police, the email reads, “We are monitoring your recent activities, and we believe it is important that we bring to your attention a sensitive matter. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you. We urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality.” The sender identified themselves as ‘BISHNU.’

Rajpal Yadav reportedly discovered the threatening email in his spam folder last December and filed a police complaint on December 17.

Mumbai Police are treating these cases with urgency, as the pattern suggests celebrities are being systematically targeted.

Rising Security Concerns for Celebrities

This incident follows a series of alarming events in Mumbai. In October last year, politician Baba Siddique was shot dead near his residence in Bandra, with responsibility claimed by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. Subsequently, Salman Khan enhanced his security, installing bulletproof windows in his home.

Last week, actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times during an attack at his Bandra home. He sustained grave injuries but has since been discharged from Lilavati Hospital after emergency treatment. Saif thanked Bhajan Singh Rana, an auto driver who rushed him to the hospital.

Mumbai Police are on high alert, intensifying investigations to ensure the safety of public figures amidst growing threats.
