Kanjhawala Case: The Ministry of Home Affairs has come into action in the case of dragging-death of a lady in Delhi.

According to sources, on the instructions of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs seeks a detailed report from the Delhi Police Commissioner on the Kanjhawala incident in Delhi.

The Home Minister has entrusted the responsibility of the investigation to a senior lady officer of Delhi Police, the sources added.

Delhiā€™s Kanjhawala area has witnessed an unfortunate case in which five accused have dragged a lady for several kilometers through their car upon which she died of the painful injuries.

The Ministry of Home Affairs sources say that in view of the seriousness of the incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given instructions for the investigation and asked the Delhi Police Commissioner to submit a detailed report over the matter.

Special Commissioner of Police, Shalini Singh has been assigned the charge of investigation over the entire matter. She was asked to submit the detailed report to the Ministry of Home Affairs as soon as possible.

Delhi Police says that prima facie investigation reveals that it was a terrible incident. All the 5 people present in the car at the time of the incident have been arrested. They have been identified as Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishna, Mithu and Manoj Mittal. The accused will be produced in the court tomorrow.

Along with this, the postmortem of the deceased will also be carried out by a board of doctors. DCP Harendra Kumar Singh says that section 304 of IPC has also been added in the FIR so that the accused do not get bail easily.

Earlier in the morning the Delhi Police had received information about a bleeding naked body of a woman lying on the Kanjhawala main road at around 4 am. There were so many drag marks everywhere on the body, which followed the arrest of the five people involved in the case by Delhi Police .
