During the inauguration of the RJ Sankara Eye Hospital in Varanasi, Jagadguru Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as a key factor behind India’s progress. The Shankaracharya called Modi’s leadership a blessing from God and said that the nation’s growth stems from the strong leadership guiding it.
He coined a new acronym for the NDA, calling it “Narendra Damodardas ka Anushashan,” a governance model that focuses on the safety, convenience, and well-being of the people.
Shankaracharya noted that PM Modi understands the daily struggles of the common man and actively works to alleviate them. He highlighted the government’s compassionate approach during the COVID-19 pandemic, pointing out the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, which ensured that no one went hungry during those difficult times.
The Shankaracharya further stated that the NDA government is a role model for governance worldwide. He remarked that India’s rising status and future growth would contribute to global peace and prosperity. Additionally, he acknowledged the government’s dual focus on infrastructure and cultural rejuvenation, citing work done in Somnath and Kedarnath as examples. The combined efforts in these areas, he said, showcase India’s commitment to both progress and heritage.
