Justice Chandrashekhar appointed acting CJ of Jharkhand HC

In a recent development, Justice S Chandrashekhar has been designated as the acting Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. His responsibilities as Acting Chief Justice will commence from December 29. This appointment follows the impending retirement of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra, scheduled for December 28.

The Union Law Ministry has officially issued a notification regarding the appointment of Justice S Chandrashekhar as the Acting Chief Justice. Notably, Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra had taken the oath of office on February 20 earlier this year.

The transition of responsibilities to Justice S Chandrashekhar signifies a significant development within the Jharkhand High Court’s judiciary.
