Journalists, Content Creators Honoured At Dev Rishi Narad Awards 2026

The Indraprastha Vishwa Samvad Kendra hosted the Dev Rishi Narad Journalist Honours 2026 at the Constitution Club in New Delhi, recognising excellence in journalism and content creation across multiple media platforms.

The event brought together prominent journalists, editors, media professionals and social media influencers to celebrate outstanding contributions to public communication.

NDTV CEO and Editor-in-Chief Rahul Kanwal attended as the chief guest, while RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar delivered the keynote address.

Senior RSS functionaries Narendra Thakur, Vishal and Rajesh Kumar also participated in the ceremony.

The organisers honoured 12 journalists and content creators across categories such as young journalism, women-centric reporting, rural and environmental journalism, digital journalism, television reporting, print journalism, column writing and social media content creation.

Each recipient received a citation, memento, shawl and a cash prize of ₹11,000.

A distinguished jury comprising senior media professionals from leading organisations selected the awardees after reviewing entries submitted online in 12 categories.

Addressing the gathering, Rahul Kanwal spoke about the growing influence of artificial intelligence in journalism.

Kanwal said AI can handle many journalistic tasks but cannot replace a journalist’s ability to connect with people, understand context and foster dialogue.

Sunil Ambekar urged journalists to present social realities responsibly and report political developments objectively without becoming part of politics. He also cautioned against viewing every issue through a political lens.

Highlighting India’s progress, Ambekar said technology should serve humanity and that AI should strengthen knowledge traditions rather than replace human judgment, creativity and social understanding.

The event also featured discussions on media ethics, technological change and the future of journalism in the digital age.
