An all-party meeting held in Srinagar on Thursday passed a resolution extending full support to the Union government following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. The meeting also praised the people of Kashmir for standing by tourists during challenging times.
“We support the steps taken by the Union government announced yesterday,” the resolution stated.
The leaders saluted the bravery of Shaheed Syed Adil Hussain Shah, who sacrificed his life while saving tourists in Pahalgam. He ferried tourists on his horse and fought off terrorists before being martyred.
“His courage and selflessness will remain an inspiration for all. He symbolises true Kashmiriyat and the hospitality of Kashmir,” the resolution read.
The resolution commended the people of Kashmir for offering moral and material support to tourists across the Valley and standing united in condemning the terror attack.
The meeting began with a two-minute silence in memory of the victims.
“We remain unwavering in our commitment to bring the perpetrators to justice. No act of terror can break our spirit or weaken our resolve,” the resolution declared.
The meeting at SKICC in Srinagar saw participation from senior leaders including NC president Farooq Abdullah, former CM Omar Abdullah, Sajad Gani Lone (PC), Yusuf Tarigami (CPI-M), Mehboob Beg (PDP), Ghulam Nabi Azad (DPAP), JK Congress chief Tariq Hameed Karra, and Altaf Bukhari (Apni Party).
