Jasir Bilal Wani, Dr Umar Muhammad’s aide, has filed an application in the NIA court seeking permission to meet his lawyers at the agency headquarters.
The NIA described Jasir Bilal Wani as actively conspiring with terrorist Dr Umar, who authorities arrested on November 17 in Srinagar.
On November 18, the Patiala House Court sent Jasir Bilal Wani to 10 days of NIA custody.
The NIA produced Wani before the court in connection with the Delhi blast that claimed 13 lives.
Moreover, Investigators revealed that he had provided technical assistance for carrying out terror bombing attacks. He was also involved in modifying drones and developing rockets ahead of the car blast.
Investigators identified the Qazigund resident as actively conspiring with Dr Umar Muhammad Nabi to plan the deadly attack.
The NIA continues to uncover the full conspiracy behind the bombing as several teams from the anti-terror agency are conducting several search operations across states as an effort to eliminate any individual involved in the attack.
Additionally, police have successfully managed to establish a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) link to the November 10 blast near the Red Fort.
Police also revealed that it was a JeM operative who had instructed the accused persons on how to make the bombs.
Investigators revealed the accused were preparing 200 bombs to detonate simultaneously across Delhi and the northern India region. The ISI selected a JeM operative to train the Faridabad module accused of bomb blasts across North Indian states.
