Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President, Maulana Arshad Madani, announced that the organization will no longer participate in any programs hosted by leaders who claim to be secular but have remained silent on the oppression and injustice faced by Muslims in India.
This includes events like Iftar, Eid Milan, and other gatherings organized by such leaders.
Maulana Madani emphasized that the protest is symbolic but important in light of the ongoing injustices faced by Muslims in the country.
Maulana Madani strongly criticized leaders who, despite calling themselves secular, continue to support the current government, which he claimed is oppressing Muslims for the sake of political gain.
He pointed out that many of these leaders, such as Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu, and Chirag Paswan, have been silent on the discriminatory treatment faced by Muslims and are aligning themselves with forces that threaten the rights and culture of the minority community.

“Those who claim to be secular and have benefitted from Muslim support are now aiding the government in dismantling Muslims’ religious, cultural traditions, waqfs, and heritage,” Madani said. “This is no longer a matter of political disagreement; it is about the destruction of everything the Muslim community holds dear.”
The Jamiat leader accused these so-called secular leaders of turning a blind eye to the growing religious intolerance in the country.
He highlighted how disputes are being stirred over Muslim religious sites, and how Muslims are being prevented from accessing places of worship.
Additionally, he mentioned that communal riots were instigating actions to target Muslims and questioned whether these leaders were aware of these developments.
He believes their silence on these matters amounts to passive support for the ongoing oppression.
“Just as there is a well-planned conspiracy to corner Muslims, there is also a vile campaign to insult their religion. Are these leaders not aware of what is happening? Of course, they are, but they are complicit through their silence,” Maulana Madani asserted.
Maulana Madani further lambasted leaders like Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu, and Chirag Paswan, claiming that in their pursuit of power, they were siding with communal forces against Muslims.
He accused them of undermining the nation’s Constitution and secularism for political gains, a move he believed would ultimately lead the country towards ruin.
“What is forcing them to act this way? Do they no longer believe in the Constitution or secularism? If that is the case, they should stop calling themselves secular,” Madani said, questioning their motivations.
In light of these ongoing issues, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has decided to withdraw from participating in any programs organized by leaders whom they believe are complicit in inflicting injustice on Muslims.
Maulana Madani called on other religious organizations and individuals to join the boycott, even if it means skipping events as small as an Iftar party.
“The time has come for us to express our displeasure by not participating in their programs as a symbolic protest. These leaders have shown no concern for the suffering of Muslims, and we must make our stand clear,” he urged.
Maulana Madani also recalled the “Save Constitution of India” conferences organized by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind in a bid to awaken the conscience of the leaders.
However, he expressed disappointment that those efforts had no effect on them.
He noted that these leaders, despite their claims of secularism, had proven time and again that their political interests were far more important than the peace, unity, and well-being of the country.
“Through their actions, they have shown that they care more about their political survival than the suffering of the people. If they have no concern for our pain, then we, too, will have no connection with them,” he concluded.
