Jamia Hamdard Hosts Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect To Inspire Youth Participation In Nation-Building

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Jamia Hamdard successfully hosted the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP), a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports designed to empower young citizens and strengthen their contribution to India’s developmental vision for 2047.

Held with enthusiastic student participation, the programme underscored the essential role of youth in shaping a fully developed India by the centenary of Independence.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Priyank Mishra, APS to the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, reaffirmed the government’s dedication to youth-driven progress. He said the VBYCP acts as a vital platform to harness young people’s skills, aspirations and leadership potential. It ultimately channels their energy towards national advancement.

In an inspiring session, Shri Pratham Singh urged students to take an active role in community improvement and nation-building. His address motivated participants to embrace responsibility and contribute meaningfully to society.

Adding to the discourse, Nancy Ranga, Young Professional at the Regional Directorate of NSS, Delhi, highlighted the organisation’s role in nurturing discipline, leadership and social awareness. She encouraged volunteers to make full use of the opportunities provided through NSS activities.

University Leadership Encourages Active Student Engagement

Col Tahir Mustafa, Registrar of Jamia Hamdard, commended the NSS team for its commitment. He urged students to view themselves as integral contributors to India’s development trajectory.

The event also saw the participation of Ms Elza Jose, Youth Icon, and Ms Neelu Thadani, District Youth Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra.

Both interacted with NSS volunteers and emphasised the importance of sustained youth engagement in nation-building initiatives.

The VBYCP offered valuable insights into India’s development roadmap. It also inspired volunteers to contribute through service initiatives, awareness campaigns, and leadership efforts.

The programme was guided by Prof Jawed Ahmed and Mr Mirza Rahil Beg, Coordinator of NSS. It ensured meaningful interaction and active involvement from students.
