PM Modi and Tusk will discuss strengthening bilateral ties, defence, trade, emerging technologies, space research and renewable energy. They will, however, review the Russia-Ukraine conflict and India-EU relations.
Tusk arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday evening for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation in defence, trade and strategic affairs.
Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary received him at the airport.
The Ministry of External Affairs said the high-level visit would provide fresh momentum to the India-Poland Strategic Partnership and deepen longstanding ties between the two countries.
Tusk is accompanied by Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domanski, and a high-level business delegation.
Besides diplomatic engagements in the national capital, the delegation will participate in business forums in New Delhi and Bengaluru.
The India-Poland Business Forum will take place in New Delhi on October 22 and Bengaluru on October 23, bringing together business stakeholders to explore opportunities for collaboration.
Tusk will visit Bengaluru to meet IT and space sector representatives. He last met PM Modi in Warsaw in 2024, when both leaders established a Strategic Partnership.
