IT raided more than 30 locations of Orris builder group, ROF builders, Pioneer builder, and RPS School group. More than a hundred IT officials raided the locations under the leadership of Monica Bhatia who just joined as Director General IT North West region. The locations are Gurugram, Delhi, Rewari, Narnaul and Mahendergarh
This morning, officials from the Income Tax Department (Income Tax Raid) conducted 21 searches in Gurugram and its neighborhood, including Greater Kailash-2 in Delhi. This raid was conducted on an emerging builder group (real estate developer ROF Group). According to allegations, this builder group accepted cash payments from consumers while selling its plots and structures, costing the government millions of rupees in missed income tax revenue. This construction business has also begun work on new projects in Gurugram’s Sohna and Panipat. A hotel in Gurugram’s Sector 44 was also raided by the IT department team.
The team from the Income Tax Department raided the director’s home and the renowned school RPS of Southern Haryana on Friday morning. Teams from the department began investigating RPS educational establishments simultaneously in the districts of Rewari, Gurugram, and Mahendragarh. These academic institutions are up in arms over the department’s move.
A team from the Income Tax Department is currently looking into records and other papers from the operator’s residence and several institutions. According to the source, at around six in the morning, teams from the Income Tax Department and members of the CRPF arrived at the director’s residences for the RPS International School in BMG Elegant City, the RPS Public School on Delhi Road, and the educational facilities in Sector-4.
The team members locked the doors to households and schools before beginning to look through records and other papers. In educational institutions, this sparked a panic situation. It has been reported that ED investigators have begun investigating the records of RPS schools situated in other areas, such as Mahendragarh and Gurugram. Other educational institution operators have been fearful as a result of the Income Tax Department’s simultaneous actions against their residences and institutions.
