Isolated Rain Will Be On Cards Today, Says IMD Report

The forecast calls for isolated rainfall with a chance of lightning or hail in various states of India  Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, and Coastal Karnataka.

Today’s Forecast

Sikkim, Marathawada, Vidarbha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana may get quite widespread showers combined with thunderstorms or hail.

Scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms or hail may occur over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, North and South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe.

Across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, and Coastal Karnataka, isolated showers with a probability of lightning or hail is expected.

The minimum temperature in Delhi is predicted to be 23 degrees Celsius. While the maximum temperature will rise to 31 degrees Celsius, the sky will appear to be clouded with one or two rain or thunderstorm outbreaks.

Forecasting

The predictions are the same till Saturday Morning According to The report.

Southwest Rajasthan and its surroundings will see a western disturbance in the middle and upper troposphere as well as cyclonic circulation.

Due to the likely interaction of the middle tropospheric westerly trough with lower tropospheric easterly winds over Central, East, and Northeast India, scattered light or moderate rains with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (speed 30-40 kmph) are expected over North Interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Northeast India.

Isolated rainfall and hailstorms are forecast to occur between March 16 and 18 in northeast Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana, as well as across Madhya Maharashtra on March 15 and 16 and over Marathawada on March 16.
