Intensified Safety Measures For Mauni Amavasya Snan At Maha Kumbh In Prayagraj

As millions of devotees and tourists gather in Prayagraj for the Mauni Amavasya Snan at the Maha Kumbh on Wednesday, the fair administration and police have stepped up safety measures to ensure a smooth and secure experience for all attendees.

Devotees have been advised to remain vigilant, avoid rumors, and promptly report any concerns.

A dedicated team, including fair police, traffic police, and specialized doctors, has been deployed around the clock to assist in case of emergencies.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Dwivedi, Mahakumbhnagar, stated, “Robust arrangements have been made for the second Amrit Snan of the Maha Kumbh, especially for Mauni Amavasya.”

He urged devotees to cooperate with authorities, remain cautious, and seek assistance when needed.

The police and administration are available 24/7 to support devotees at the Maha Kumbh.

Crowd Management Guidelines For Mauni Amavasya Snan:

  • Use different lanes to reach Sangam Ghat.
  • Stay in your lane while going for the Ganga bath.
  • After bathing and darshan, head straight to the parking area.
  • When going for darshan in temples, follow the lane and proceed to your destination.
  • Reach out to the police for assistance if needed.
  • Traffic police are ready to help.
  • If you experience health-related issues, visit the nearest sector hospital for examination.
  • Be patient while on barricades or pontoon bridges and avoid rushing.
  • Use eco-friendly materials like paper, jute, or kulhars.
  • Bathe at the first available Sangam Ghat you reach.

What To Avoid:

  • Do not stop in groups.
  • Avoid face-to-face crossings of devotees.
  • Ignore rumors and misinformation on social media.
  • Do not rush to visit temples.
  • Do not stop on roads, obstructing others.
  • Avoid misleading information regarding facilities or arrangements.
  • Do not rush during the holy bath.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and utensils.

By following these guidelines and cooperating with authorities, the Maha Kumbh experience can remain safe and enriching for all.
