Inspiring Journey Of Hard Work And Humility: PM Narendra Modi Congratulates Gobardhan Das

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Gobardhan Das, applauding his remarkable journey shaped by diligence and modesty.

Taking to X, PM Moid posted, “Prof. Gobardhan Das Ji, heartfelt congratulations to you! Your journey, filled with tireless hard work and humility, is truly inspiring for everyone. The invaluable contributions you have made in the fields of public health, science, and innovation fill the entire nation with pride. My sincere best wishes for your tenure.”

In response, Prof Das described his appointment to NITI Aayog as a defining moment in his life. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for entrusting him with this responsibility.

Gobardhan Das also reflected on his early life as the son of a farmer from a Dalit family in a remote village in West Bengal.

Das underscored that perseverance, resilience, and sustained effort guided his path. He asserted that his new role symbolises the aspirations of ordinary citizens across the country.

Prof Gobardhan Das stressed the need to enhance living standards in rural regions and support farmers and marginalised communities.

“I firmly believe that improving the quality of life in remote areas and among common people is essential for national development,” he said.

Prof Gobardhan Das pledged to serve with integrity, dedication, and accountability under the Prime Minister’s guidance. He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing meaningfully to India’s progress through his tenure.
