Indian Army Day: For First Time, Army Parade To Be Celebrated Outside Delhi; Know Everything About Parade!

Indian Army Day: Ahead the Indian Army Day, for the first time, the 75th Army parade will be held outside Delhi. The parade has been conducted since the celebrations began in 1949.

Army Day: Tribute To General KM Carriappa

Indian Army Day is celebrated every year on January 15 to commemorate the occasion when General (Later Field Marshal) KM Carriappa took over the command of the Indian Army in 1949 from General Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, and became first India as the army chief.

Army Day Parade In Bengaluru

The 75th Indian Army celebration will take place in Bengaluru at Parade Ground, MEG & Centre today.

According to a media report, the Army Day is being conducted out of the national capital for the first time. It is government’s initiative to take major events away from the National Capital Region to different parts of the country.

Army Chief General Manoh Pande To Supervise The Event

Army chief General Manoj Pande will supervise the grand parade. He will present gallantry awards, which will be followed by a daring motorcycle display by the Army Service Corps (ASC) Tornadoes, a skydiving display by the Paratroopers, daredevil jumps, and a fly past by of helicopters of the Army Aviation Corps.

The Station Commander of the Southern Command said that parade would be held at various filed commands in India. It will felicitate a deeper connection with the society. In 2023, the celebrations are taking place under the supervision of Southern Command, which is headquartered in Pune.

Prime Minister Modi Takes Twitter

On the auspicious occasion of 75th Army Day, Prime Minister Modi extended his best wishes to the army personnel. Taking the twitter, PM wrote, “On Army Day, I convey my best wishes to all army personnel, veterans and their families. Every Indian is proud of our Army and will always be grateful to our soldiers. They have always kept our nation safe and are widely admired for their service during times of crisis.”
