India Shaping Decisive Phase In Global Energy Landscape, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday stated that India is crafting a decisive phase in the global energy landscape. He attributed this progress to sustained emphasis on electrification, clean energy adoption, and domestic manufacturing growth.

The Prime Minister shared insights from an article authored by Shripad Yesso Naik, highlighting the rapid transformation underway in India’s energy sector.

Posting on X, he stressed that the transition is guided by pragmatic policymaking and a firm commitment to self-reliance.

PM Modi noted that India’s expanding renewable capacity and improved electrification are strengthening its global standing.

The focus on manufacturing, aligned with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision, is further enhancing resilience and competitiveness in the energy domain.

Earlier, at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, the Prime Minister urged global investors to engage actively with India’s power sector. He invited stakeholders to ‘make, invest, innovate, and scale’ within the country, underscoring vast opportunities across the value chain.

PM Modi described India as being at a pivotal juncture in its energy journey, supported by strong economic growth and infrastructure expansion.

The summit aims to unify the power ecosystem, facilitate knowledge exchange, and foster strategic partnerships.

The government continues to prioritise sustainable growth while ensuring reliable energy access. These initiatives collectively position India as an emerging leader in the evolving global energy order.
