IAF Mourns Loss Of Corporal In Poonch Ambush

Poonch Ambush: Amid heightened aerial surveillance in Poonch, as security forces continued their extensive manhunt to apprehend the terrorists responsible for ambushing an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy, the nation mourned the loss of Corporal Vikky Pahade, who succumbed to injuries sustained in the attack.

Indian Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, along with the entire IAF personnel, paid tribute to Corporal Vikky Pahade for his bravery and ultimate sacrifice in the Poonch Sector. Expressing deepest condolences to his family, the IAF assured unwavering support during this difficult time.

Following the terrorist attack on the IAF convoy, security personnel launched an extensive manhunt to track down the perpetrators. Checkpoints were set up, and thorough inspections were conducted in the area to thwart any further threats.

Additional Indian Army forces swiftly arrived at Jarra Wali Gali (JWG) in Poonch to reinforce security measures. The injured personnel from the ambush were promptly evacuated to the Command Hospital in Udhampur, where unfortunately, Corporal Vikky Pahade succumbed to his injuries.

In response to the attack, local Rashtriya Rifles units, supported by the Army and police, initiated a comprehensive cordon and search operation to locate the terrorists responsible.

Confirming the incident, the IAF announced through social media that the targeted convoy had been secured, and investigations were underway to ascertain the details of the attack.

Furthermore, security measures were intensified, with IAF vehicles relocated to a secure area near Shahsitar within the air base premises, ensuring enhanced safety protocols.

The nation stands united in condemning such cowardly acts of terrorism and remains steadfast in its resolve to combat threats to its security. As investigations continue, security forces remain vigilant, working tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the region.
