PM Modi at inauguration of India Mobile Congress 2023
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated an exhibition at the 7th edition of the India Mobile Congress. During this event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 100 new 5G labs in select institutions across the country. During the event, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘The future is going to be very different.’ It is heartening that our youth are leading the way in shaping the future of our nation through our tech revolution.
It should be noted that this three-day exhibition will focus on 6G, and 5G network enhancements, telecommunications, and various other sectors. In the exhibition, PM Modi also visited the Reliance Jio corner. Distinguished industrialists, including Akash Ambani, the son of Mukesh Ambani, were present during the visit. Subsequently, addressing the program, PM Modi said, “Last year, we had gathered here for the rollout of 5G; the entire world was watching India with wonder. We rolled out the world’s fastest 5G rollout and began the work of bringing 5G to every Indian. We went from the rollout stage to the reach-out stage.”
PM Modi said, “What happened in our era of 2G, perhaps the new generation doesn’t know. During our tenure, 4G expanded, and not a single blot can be found. I am confident that in 6G, India will lead the world.” Speaking about semiconductors, PM Modi said that India’s semiconductor mission is not just about meeting domestic needs; it is moving forward with a vision to fulfill the world’s needs.
It should be noted that the exhibition will provide information on AI applications, edge computing, Industry 4.0, and IndiaStack. In IMC 2023, the expansion of related technology domains like broadcasting, manufacturing and semiconductors, satellite communication, and more is being showcased. Discussions will also be held on issues related to the semiconductor industry, green technology, cybersecurity, and more.
In this event, telecom companies like Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) will showcase their new 5G use cases. Participants from over 22 countries with over a lakh delegates are taking part in this event, including 5000 CEOs and 400 startups, 230 exhibitors, and other stakeholders.
