Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the INDIA bloc for perpetuating dynastic politics during his visit to Mandla and Khajuraho on Thursday. He emphasized that in the upcoming elections, voters must choose between leaders dedicated to advancing every segment of society and those who prioritize their own family members. Shah delivered consecutive speeches in support of BJP Lok Sabha candidates in Madhya Pradesh, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on the empowerment of the poor, youth, farmers, and women. He underscored that family-centric parties are incapable of serving the interests of marginalized groups, accusing them of corruption and scams instead.
Shah’s address in the Katni area, under the Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat, reiterated his stance against dynastic politics, particularly targeting the INDI alliance. He alleged that these parties thrive on corruption and financial irregularities, citing historical scandals like those related to the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the Saradha chit fund. Shah criticized the dynastic aspirations of various political leaders, including Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Stalin, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi, highlighting their intentions to elevate family members to prominent positions.
Union Minister Amit Shah also aimed at the Congress, accusing the party of ruling through casteism, dynastic politics, and corruption for 70 years. He contrasted this with Modi’s tenure, which he claimed has prioritized eradicating these issues. Shah credited the Modi government with strengthening the economy, citing its rise from the 11th to the 5th largest globally and urging voters to secure a third-place position by granting Modi another term.
Shah enumerated various welfare schemes implemented by the Modi government, including Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat, and the Kisan Samman Nidhi. He highlighted initiatives aimed at women’s empowerment, such as constructing toilets and distributing LPG cylinders. Shah lauded the government’s efforts in providing free ration to millions of people, asserting its commitment to poverty alleviation and social welfare.
During his rally in Mandla, Shah reiterated his criticism of dynastic politics within the INDIA bloc and contrasted it with Modi’s agenda of uplifting the poor, tribal communities, Dalits, and backward sections of society. He praised the achievements of the Modi government in lifting 25 crore people out of poverty and implementing various welfare measures in Madhya Pradesh. Shah accused the Congress of neglecting tribal communities and highlighted BJP’s contributions to tribal welfare, including appointing Droupadi Murmu, a tribal woman from Odisha, as President of the country. He emphasized BJP’s commitment to tribal welfare, symbolized by initiatives like Adivasi Gaurav Diwas in memory of tribal icon Birsa Munda.
The Mandla Lok Sabha seat is scheduled to vote in the first phase on April 19, while Khajuraho will vote in the second round on April 26.
