HM Amit Shah To Inaugurate Emergency Healthcare Facility And Attend Cultural Events In Haridwar

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Haridwar on Thursday for a two-day trip to Uttarakhand and participate in a series of religious, cultural, and social events.

His first engagement will be the inauguration of the Patanjali Emergency and Critical Care Hospital at Maharshi Dayanand Gram, Patanjali Yogpeeth, at 10:00 AM. The new facility will bolster healthcare services in the region and provide timely treatment for critically ill patients.

Following the hospital inauguration, Shah will proceed to Gayatri Teerth Shantikunj at 10:45 AM to offer prayers at the Akhanda Jyoti and meet members of the Gayatri Parivar.

The visit underscores the spiritual and social influence of the Gayatri family in promoting national and community welfare.

Later, the Home Minister will attend a public programme at Bairagi Island, organised to commemorate the birth centenary of Param Vandaniya Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma and the Akhanda Deep Centenary Year.

The ‘Centenary Year Celebration 2026’ is expected to attract devotees and dignitaries from across India and abroad.

Shah will address the gathering and acknowledge the Gayatri Parivar for its longstanding contributions to social reform and spiritual awakening.

Earlier on Wednesday, Amit Shah attended the release of the centenary edition of the magazine Kalyan at Gita Bhawan in Rishikesh.

He praised the century-long legacy of Gita Press and its role in India’s cultural and spiritual revival. Shah paid homage to founder Hanuman Prasad Poddar, calling him a karmayogi who dedicated his life to strengthening Sanatan Dharma and spreading faith in Indian traditions.

Shah also visited the Lakshminarayan Temple and offered prayers to Maa Ganga, reflecting a blend of spiritual reverence and cultural celebration.

The engagements highlight the government’s emphasis on holistic development that integrates healthcare, spirituality, and Indian cultural heritage.
