‘Historic Chapter’: BJP President Nitin Nabin Hails PM Modi’s 25 Years In Government

BJP President Nitin Nabin on Wednesday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years as head of government as a historic chapter marked by clear vision, determination and nation-building.

In a post on X, Nabin said PM Modi had given priority to public service and good governance while following the principle of ‘Nation First’. He said the Prime Minister had turned challenges into opportunities and pursued the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas and Sabka Vishwas’.

Nabin further highlighted PM Modi’s efforts to raise India’s standing globally and said his commitment to nation-building would continue to inspire the country’s journey towards ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.

PM Modi became Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 and served in the post for more than 12 years before becoming Prime Minister in 2014. He went on to secure mandates in 2019 and 2024, becoming the first Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru to serve three consecutive terms.

The BJP is marking the milestone through the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, launched on September 17.

The campaign features blood donation drives, cleanliness programmes, welfare outreach, exhibitions and cultural events.

Party units across the country are organising torch marches, motorcycle and cycle rallies and exhibitions highlighting the Prime Minister’s political journey.

In Delhi, the main ‘Seva Jyoti’ programme will take place at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex.

The celebrations highlight initiatives launched during PM Modi’s tenure in Gujarat, including SWAGAT and Jyotigram.

SWAGAT later inspired PRAGATI, the Centre’s project-monitoring platform.

The BJP’s programmes are aimed at marking PM Modi’s 25-year journey in government while highlighting his political career and the government’s stated focus on public service, governance and nation-building.
