High Court approves survey of shahi idgah mosque Mathura

PRAYAGRAJ

The High Court approved the survey at the disputed site of Shahi Idgah Mosque, located in Shri Krishna Janam bhoomi complex in Mathura.

Giving the above said order Mr Justice Mayank Jain  approved the survey on the petition of the Hindu side, after hearing a total of 18 civil suits which were pending in this context.

Meanwhile objections were raised to the maintainability of the suit under the Places of Worship Act. On the petition of the temple side regarding sending the court commissioner, the court had given time to Sunni Central Waqf Board and Shahi Idgah Arrangement Committee to file counter affidavit, on which  the court has given its verdict and approved the survey.

The Court also directed to appoint  a Survey Commissioner , who will monitor the entire survey.

The council for Hindu side’s  Vishnu Shankar Jain , informed that the Allahabad High Court has accepted our application where we had sought a survey (of the Shahi Idgah Mosque) by the Advocate Commissioner.

The outline will be decided on December 18. The court has rejected the arguments of the Shahi Idgah Mosque. This is a historic decision of the court.”
