In a devastating incident at Harni Lake in Vadodara, Gujarat, a boat carrying school children overturned, leading to the tragic death of 13 students and 2 teachers. The boat, designed to accommodate 16 passengers, was carrying 27 people when the accident occurred.
Efforts are underway to rescue the remaining individuals, with crowds gathering outside hospitals as the rescue operation continues. Mukesh, involved in the rescue efforts, shared his harrowing experience, stating that he and others rushed to the scene upon hearing the screams of two teachers. Despite the challenging circumstances, they managed to pull several individuals, including a teacher and a student stuck in the mud, to safety.
Vadodara Collector AB Gore emphasized the overcrowding on the boat, pointing out that it exceeded its capacity by carrying 27 passengers.

Expressing deep sorrow, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said, ‘I am profoundly saddened by the tragedy at Harni Lake today. All my scheduled programs are postponed as I head to Vadodara. Relief and treatment efforts are ongoing, and every attempt is being made to save lives in this unfortunate incident.’
