Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, Dy CM Harsh Sanghavi Interact With Public At Delhi Airport

Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi interacted with members of the public at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi while returning from the national capital, officials said on Wednesday.

According to officials, the two leaders met travellers and citizens at the airport on Tuesday evening in an informal setting. They sat among the public and held conversations without the usual formal protocol arrangements.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister spoke with several individuals present at the airport and listened to their concerns and experiences.

Observers noted that the leaders spent time speaking directly with citizens rather than maintaining the typical security or protocol distance often seen during official visits.

The two leaders also showed interest in creative paper items displayed by individuals at the airport. They asked about the process behind the artworks and sought details about how the paper creations were made.

Their relaxed engagement drew attention from other travellers, with several people gathering around the leaders during the conversation.

The leaders were returning from Delhi after official engagements that included meetings with the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

During the visit, Bhupendra Patel also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Tuesday evening. The Prime Minister’s Office also shared details of the meeting on social media.

Officials did not disclose details of the discussion, but the meeting came at a time of increased political activity in Gujarat ahead of the upcoming local body elections in the state.

Officials said Patel’s Delhi visit included discussions with the BJP’s central leadership on organisational matters and governance priorities in the state.
