On Thursday, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) unveiled the much-anticipated results of the Class 12 examinations.
The results showcased a remarkable performance by students across both the science and general streams.
In a significant achievement, students enrolled in the science stream recorded a pass percentage of 82.45%. The general stream astounded with a staggering success rate of 91.93%.
Out of 111,132 students who appeared for the exams, a whopping 91,625 succeeded, marking a substantial increase from last year’s pass rate of 65.58%.
The results also shed light on the individual performance of various examination centers and districts across the state.
The Kumbhariya examination center in Surat emerged as a frontrunner, boasting a near-perfect pass rate of 97.97%. The Bodeli examination center in the Tribal area reported the lowest pass rate at 47.98%.
Morbi district showcased academic excellence, leading the districts with an impressive pass rate of 92.80%, whereas Chhotaduepur recorded the lowest with 51.36%.
127 schools statewide achieved a flawless 100% pass rate, marking a noteworthy feat.
Delving deeper into the performance metrics, around 1,034 students clinched the prestigious A1 grade, while 8,983 students secured the A2 grade.
The examination results also provided insights into the language medium and groups.
Analysis revealed that 81.92% of students from English-medium schools passed their exams, slightly trailing behind the 82.94% success rate among Gujarati-medium students.
Furthermore, results were categorized by groups, with Group A candidates achieving a commendable 90.11% pass rate, Group B at 78.34%, and Group AB at a relatively lower 68.42%.
The board exams, which took place in March 2024, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 110,000 science stream students and more than 350,000 general stream students.

Details regarding the distribution of mark sheets and certificates to schools will be provided at a later date.
The GSHSEB confirmed that the results for the Class 10 exams, conducted in March this year, will be announced on 11 May 2024, at 8:00 AM, also accessible via the board’s website.
