Grand Welcome Awaits PM Modi In Gujarat; Vadodara All Set For PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive a rousing welcome as he arrives in Vadodara, Gujarat, on his first visit to his home state following the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’.

His two-day tour is packed with major development initiatives, ceremonial welcomes, and mass participation from local communities, particularly women and the Dawoodi Bohra community.

Women Lead ‘Sindoor Samman Yatra’

More than 25,000 women will participate in a ‘Sindoor Samman Yatra’ in Vadodara, showering the Prime Minister with flowers to honour his leadership and the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’.

The city is abuzz with anticipation as civic authorities and security agencies finalise preparations.

Local leaders, including Vadodara BJP Metropolitan President Jaiprakash Soni, expressed pride in the event.

“The welcome will reflect the gratitude of Nari Shakti. We are proud of what our forces achieved and the role of PM Modi in Operation Sindoor,” said Soni.

PM Modi’s first stop will be Dahod, where he will inaugurate a Loco Manufacturing Shop-Rolling Stock Workshop and address a public gathering.

He will lay the foundation stones for multiple projects worth ₹24,000 crore and flag off two trains: the Sabarmati-Veraval Vande Bharat Express and the Valsad-Dahod Express.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate a ₹21,000 crore electric locomotive unit built under the ‘Make in India’ campaign.

Bhuj & Beyond: Massive Investments In Infrastructure

In Bhuj, PM Modi will unveil development projects valued at over ₹53,400 crore.

These cover sectors such as solar energy, power transmission, road development, and port expansion in Kandla.

Four drinking water schemes worth ₹181 crore will also be launched to benefit over 4.6 lakh people across 193 villages and one town in Mahisagar and Dahod.

PM Modi will then travel to Ahmedabad, leading a three-km-long roadshow from the airport to Indira Bridge, joined by more than 50,000 BJP workers and citizens.

The following morning, he will lead another massive roadshow in Gandhinagar with over 30,000 participants.

At Mahatma Mandir, PM Modi will lay the foundation and inaugurate projects worth ₹5,536 crore.

These include 22,055 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Phase 3 of the Sabarmati Riverfront, and cheque distributions worth ₹3,300 crore to urban bodies under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.

The visit marks a significant chapter in Gujarat’s development journey and reaffirms the Centre’s focus on grassroots transformation.
