Ravindra Goyal, General Manager North Central Railway inaugurated the Railways camp set up in Sangam area on the occasion of Magh Mela. In this camp one reserved ticket counter (Reservation), one unreserved ticket counter (General) and one enquiry/support counter have been set up in this camp for the convenience of the pilgrims. On the occasion GM also visited the exhibition organized by Prayagraj division displayed in the camp.
The exhibition is exhibiting the history, heritage of Railways, major tourist places of North Central Railway and their nearby stations, special achievements of the division, viewing this exhibition will be especially helpful to the students preparing for competitive examinations.
Railway stations being developed in Prayagraj division under Amrit Station Scheme, Vande Bharat Train, Amrit Bharat Train, UTS App, commendable work of Railway Protection Force and Rail Madad Help Line no. Information regarding 139 has been provided.
Models of various engines and coaches developed by Indian Railways have been displayed and brief information about them has been provided. The distribution system of electric traction for running trains has been beautifully depicted in the exhibition.
GM NCR also inaugurated the control tower built at Prayagraj Junction railway station including the passenger shelters located at Prayagraj Junction were also inspected.
On this occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Prayagraj Himanshu Badoni, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Prayagraj Sanjay Singh, Chief Public Relations Officer NCR Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Prayagraj Himanshu Shukla and other officers and employees were present.
