Gangster Sanjeev Jeeva Shot Dead In Lucknow Court

Gangster Sanjeev Jeeva was shot dead outside a Lucknow court on Wednesday by unknown assailants.

The attack took place inside the courtroom when gunmen opened fire, killing Sanjeev Jeeva and also wounding a young girl.

Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva, a close aide of politician Mukhtar Ansari, was a co-accused in the murder case of BJP leader Brahmhadatt Dwivedi, in which Mukhtar Ansari is also charged.


Jeeva was taken to a court in Lucknow for a hearing. He was arrested for a number of other criminal crimes.

According to the initial reports, the shooters entered the court dressed as lawyers and opened fire on Sanjeev Jeeva. After killing Sanjeev Jeeva, a feared shooter, the attackers fled the scene.

A police officer was also injured in the incident and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Sanjeev Jeeva began his journey as a compounder and subsequently found himself immersed in the underworld. He was also claimed to be a close aide of Munna Bajrangi, who was slain in 2018 while serving time in Baghpat prison.
