Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Friday that the mega meeting will “chart a new path in the human-centric and inclusive development” before the G20 meeting. The prime minister added that he anticipates having fruitful conversations with various foreign leaders who have begun to arrive in the city.
The majestic Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi will play home to the 18th G20 Summit on September 9–10, 2023, and India is thrilled to do so. India is hosting the inaugural G20 Summit this year. I anticipate having fruitful conversations with international leaders over the next two days,” PM Modi wrote in a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The subject of India’s G20 Presidency, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future,” was brought up by Prime Minister Modi, who stated it “deeply resonates with our worldview, that the whole world is one family.”
During the G20 Summit, PM Modi will preside over sessions on “One Earth,” “One Family,” and “One Future,” which will cover a variety of topics of major interest to the international community. These, according to him, “include promoting strong, sustainable, inclusive, and balanced growth.”
The PM claimed that India’s G20 presidency had been open to everybody, aspirational, definite, and action-oriented, adding that the nation had “actively voiced the developmental concerns of the Global South.”
We want to build multilateral institutions for the twenty-first century and speed up the implementation of the SDGs, the Green Development Pact, and other sustainable development goals. Future-oriented industries like technological change and digital public infrastructure are extremely important to us. Additionally, as a group, we’ll seek to promote women’s empowerment, gender equality, and international peace, he said.

Another statement made by PM Modi was that it is “important to emulate Gandhi Ji’s mission of serving the underprivileged, the very last person in queue.”
PM Modi announced in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he will have private talks with a number of heads of state and government to “deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation.”
“I am confident that our guests will enjoy the warmth of Indian hospitality,” he added.
He continued, “At the Closing Ceremony on the same day, G20 Leaders will present their united vision for a sustainable and fair “One Future,” working as “One Family,” for a healthier “One Earth.”
World leaders have already arrived in New Delhi for the two-day mega Summit, including South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Japan PM Fumio Kishida, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina, Oman PM and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
