The Allahabad High Court has granted conditional bail to former school principal Parul Solomon in connection with the RO, ARO paper leak case. Justice Sanjay Kumar Pachauri heard the bail plea on Tuesday. Solomon had been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) on September 26 and sent to jail.
Solomon’s arrest was based on a statement made by a school teacher, though no concrete evidence has been found against her. Her defense argued that she had been framed due to ongoing enmity with the school management. The petitioner had lodged two FIRs against members of the school management earlier this year.
The FIRs, filed in July 2024, involved various sections of the Indian Penal Code, and Solomon’s defense claims the school management implicated her out of revenge. Solomon had served as the principal of Bishop Johnson Katra Mission Road Prayagraj School before her arrest.
