Narhari Amin and Prime Minister Modi
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narhari Amin in a recent series of posts on X demanded an apology from Congress MP, Rahul Gandhi for defaming OBCs. In addition to this, he asked the Congress leader to feel sorry to the people of Gujarat for “being filled with hate towards our popular Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi”.
His post read, “I demand Shri @RahulGandhi immediately withdraw his lies. He should stop defaming OBCs and also apologise to the people of Gujarat for being filled with hate towards our popular Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi.”
The former Congress minister posted three posts on X. The first post explained that the Government of Gujarat (GoG) has announced on 25th July 1994 that they had included Modh-Ghanchi in the OBC group. he further wrote in his second post that the decision was made official when PM Modi was not even an MP/MLA.

Rahul Gandhi recently tried to target Prime Minister Modi on his caste and said that PM does not belong to OBC section. In response to the Congress’s call for a caste census, Rahul Gandhi launched an attack, while Prime Minister Modi claimed in a statement in the Rajya Sabha that the Congress has always been against Dalits. Jawaharlal Nehru’s letter to chief ministers, which PM Modi cited, stated that Nehru opposed Dalits and tribals receiving reservations in government positions.
“Modi ji has been misleading the people by saying that he is an OBC. He was born in a family of the ‘Ghanchi’ caste, which was included in the OBC list during the BJP government’s tenure in Gujarat in 2000. He changed his caste to OBC after becoming the CM of Gujarat. Modi ji is not an OBC by birth,” Rahul Gandhi said.
