Former Principal Secretary, Haryana Government Sh. Yogender Chaudhry receives the 2023 “Anubhav” award

Former Principal Secretary, Haryana Government Sh. Yogender Chaudhry, IRS, was one of the recipients of the 2023 “Anubhav” award. At the Anubhav Awards 2023 ceremony, which took place at Vigyan Bhawan on Monday, he was presented with the award.

The awards ceremony was hosted by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare to honor the recipients of their write-ups for 2023. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, presented the awards.

At the request of the Honourable Prime Minister, the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare inaugurated the Anubhav Portal in March 2015. The portal offers retiring/retired personnel an online platform to share their experiences working in government, submit and highlight their outstanding work, and offer recommendations for better governance.

Yogender Chaudhry has highlighted key projects and policies that he implemented during his tenure while writing his ‘Anubhav’. He has a career spanning 34 years.
As an Indian Revenue Service officer, Chaudhry’s project for identifying new taxpayers for widening the tax base resulted in bringing an unprecedented 30,735 new assessees within the tax net in the Ghatkopar area of Mumbai in 2018.

On this department’s portal, 96 Ministries and Organisations have registered, and over 10,000 write-ups have already been published. This time, the goal of the Anubhav outreach program was to maximize the number of soon-to-retire or retiring employees who submitted Anubhav write-ups. Since the campaign’s launch in 2015, the number of Anubhav write-ups published has increased to 1901, the most ever. It has been determined to present four Anubhav prizes and nine jury certificates following thorough vetting.

Eight distinct Ministries, Departments, and Organisations make up the recipients. It is important to note that nine Jury Certificates are being awarded for the first time in order to promote greater involvement in the process. The recipients of the Anubhav Award will be presented with a medal, a certificate, and a Rs. 10,000 cash award. A Medal and a Certificate will be given to the winners of the Jury Certificate.
