Bharturhari Mahtab, a former member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) who recently crossed party lines to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has shared a heartfelt testimony regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a video message, Mahtab likened Prime Minister Modi to a caring parent, emphasizing his unwavering concern for the well-being of Members of Parliament (MPs), regardless of their political affiliations.
Mahtab recounted a touching personal experience, revealing that during a period of illness, Prime Minister Modi reached out to inquire about his health, demonstrating a level of care reminiscent of familial concern. Mahtab’s son, upon receiving the call, noted that Prime Minister Modi’s manner of conversation resembled that of a grandfather, reflecting a genuine and nurturing demeanor.
The BJP candidate for Cuttack, Mahtab expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Modi’s attentive gesture, recalling a moment two years prior when he was afflicted by a stroke and experiencing respiratory distress. Despite the challenging circumstances, news reached Mahtab that Prime Minister Modi had reached out to his son to inquire about his condition. Mahtab’s son later revealed that Prime Minister Modi’s demeanor during the conversation resembled that of a respected elder within the household, further illustrating the Prime Minister’s empathetic approach.
Mahtab’s transition from the BJD to the BJP was marked by his admiration for Prime Minister Modi’s leadership style, characterized by compassion and inclusivity. Having represented the BJD previously, Mahtab made the decision to join the BJP on March 28, 2024, citing alignment with the party’s principles and vision.
Presently contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Cuttack, Mahtab submitted his nomination papers on a recent Friday, signaling his commitment to serving his constituency under the BJP banner. His endorsement of Prime Minister Modi’s leadership underscores the Prime Minister’s reputation for fostering personal connections and displaying genuine concern for the welfare of all individuals, transcending political boundaries.
