Azur Airlines: A chartered plane of Azur Airlines coming from Russia’s International Airport to Goa had received a bomb threat, after which a security alert has been issued and the flight has been diverted to Uzbekistan. There are a total of 238 passengers including 2 children and 7 crew members in this flight.
The director of Goa airport has received the threatening email. After this, the flight has been diverted to Uzbekistan even before the plane entered the Indian airspace, the process of investigation followed. So far, no information has been received about the person threatening to blow up the flight. This is the second time in the month of January that a bomb threat has been received on a flight coming from Moscow to Goa.
A similar threat was received a few days back
Prior to this, at the beginning of January, an emergency landing was made at Jamnagar airport in Gujarat after receiving information about a bomb threat in a chartered flight coming from Moscow to Goa having more than 200 passengers in it. The district administration and the police department came into action after receiving information about the emergency landing of the Russian aircraft. Meanwhile, all the passengers were safely evacuated at the airport and the aircraft was thoroughly checked. The NSG did not find anything suspicious in the plane that landed at the airbase.

The flight, AZV2463 was diverted after the air traffic controller at Goa airport received information about the bomb threat. Following this, a large number of police personnel were deployed at Goa’s Dabolim airport and senior officers held a meeting regarding the incident. Azure Airlines flight ZF 2401 from Moscow to Goa was directed to park on the taxiway after landing at Jamnagar airport in Gujarat.
