Ghaziabad: A massive fire broke out in the Genius Industries industrial unit operating in the Tronica City Industrial Area on Monday, in which goods worth lakhs of rupees were burnt to ashes.
The fire brigade controlled the fire after several hours of hard work. Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal said that on Monday at 6:52 am, information was received that a fire broke out in the Genius Industries industrial unit operating at plot number B-27 located in Sector B-2 of Tronica City Industrial Area.
As soon as the information was received, two fire tenders along with a fire service unit left for the spot from Loni Fire Station. The fire service unit reached the spot and found that the fire had started on the ground floor of a three-story building built on a 450 square meter plot and had spread to the entire floor, with flames rising from it and reaching the basement of the building.

Immediately the fire service units spread the hose pipe and started pouring water on the fire from two sides by pumping it from the fire tender and informed the Chief Fire Officer, Ghaziabad about the incident, on whose orders, one fire tender and fire service unit were sent to the spot from Sahibabad, Vaishali, and Kotwali fire stations respectively.
He told reporters that no person was harmed in this fire accident, but most of the goods and machines kept on the ground floor got burnt, melted into ashes, and destroyed in the fire.
Factory owner Rumaan Ali informed that the work of making eyeglass frames was being done in it. The firefighting system was not installed in the factory as per the standards.
By around 08 o’clock, the fire was completely controlled with the help of a total of 03 fire tenders including the fire tender that reached the spot from the Sahibabad station.
