Felix Hospital Marks International Women’s Day With ‘Nari Shakti Mahotsav’ In Noida

Felix Hospital organised a large community event to mark International Women’s Day at the Biodiversity Park in Sector-137, bringing together thousands of women, families and young participants for a day focused on awareness, health and empowerment.

The programme, titled Nari Shakti Mahotsav, was held in collaboration with the Mission Shakti Campaign and highlighted issues related to women’s safety, dignity and self-reliance.

Activities throughout the day combined health awareness, fitness initiatives and opportunities for participants to showcase their talents.

The event began with a morning Ethnic Walk that started from Felix Hospital in Sector-137 and concluded at the Biodiversity Park.

Large numbers of women, dressed in pink ethnic attire, joined the walk to promote unity and women’s empowerment.

Dignitaries Highlight Importance of Women’s Empowerment

Speaking at the event, Amit Kishore (IAS), Private Secretary to the Defence Minister, said that empowering women remains one of the most important social priorities today. He noted that women are making significant contributions across different sectors and that such platforms help promote equality and positive thinking in society.

Vandana Tripathi (IAS), Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority and the chief guest at the programme, said that the participation of women is essential for balanced social development. She added that events encouraging health awareness and self-confidence among women play an important role in strengthening communities.

Twinkle Jain (IPS), Additional DCP and Staff Officer of Gautam Buddh Nagar, emphasised the importance of women’s safety and awareness of their rights. She said that initiatives such as Mission Shakti help build confidence among women and encourage them to seek support whenever required.

Distinguished guest Colonel Sofiya Qureshi highlighted the growing role of women in national service and security, stating that with opportunity and trust, women can successfully take on any challenge.

The programme honoured several women for their contributions in fields such as education, media and social work.

Among those recognised were Ankita Raj, Seema Gupta, Sneha Rai, Pramila Dixit, Sucherita Kukreti, Elina Dayal, Supriya Dwivedi, Neha Raghuvanshi and Dr Rachna Rai.

Felix Hospital Chairman Dr DK Gupta said the hospital aims not only to provide medical treatment but also to promote health awareness and a healthy lifestyle in the community.

Managing Director Dr Rashmi Gupta added that the event aimed to give women a platform to showcase their abilities while encouraging them to focus on their health and well-being.

Cultural Activities and Competitions

The event also featured a Zumba session, health talks, fun activities and an award ceremony.

A talent hunt competition attracted participation from women, men and children, while a drawing competition was organised for young participants. Competitions included singing, dancing, poetry and fitness activities.

Refreshments and activities added to the festive atmosphere, while the strong turnout reflected the growing awareness and positive outlook towards women’s empowerment in the city.
