BW Healthcare Excellence Awards were held on Saturday at the Imperial Hotel, Connaught Place, New Delhi. Felix Hospital was honored for good quality and safe treatment in the health sector.
Let us tell you that according to a WHO report, about 1 in every 10 patients suffer health harm due to wrong diagnosis and treatment and more than 3 million deaths occur annually due to unsafe care. In low- to middle-income countries, 4 out of 100 people die from unsafe care. Patients lose their lives due to misuse of many types of medicines or not being able to choose the right medicine at the time of treatment. More than 50% of harm (1 in every 20 patients) can be prevented; half of this loss is due to wrong medicines.
There are 32 quality indicators or some prescribed standards of NABH for proper treatment of the patient in the hospital. To which the hospital is required to live up to.
Felix Hospital met all the standards of NABH and was awarded with BW Healthcare by providing excellent healthcare facilities to the patients.
