Kheti village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district joyously celebrated the momentous occasion of 39th Youth Day, hosting an incredible week full of educational, cultural and sporting events. Khonsa West MLA Chakat Aboh exhorted the youth to excel not only academically but in all aspects of life.
He assured unwavering support to the youth while promising to assist them in their chosen career path for personal growth. Distinguished guests including ZPMs Wanghong Panka (Khonsa) and Rangmo Ranto (Lazu), Assam Rifles Second in Command Subhash Chand, and various government officials graced the event.
Among them, Siloam House emerged as the winner, showcasing their exceptional talents and teamwork. In addition to the competitive events, the organizers curated non-competitive programmes and activities, featuring mesmerizing cultural performances such as the war dance, bamboo dance, swinging dance, and enchanting renditions of traditional folk songs. The organizers skillfully blended age-old customs with modern entertainment, showcasing a fashion show and modern dance, among others.
President of the Kheti Youth Welfare Association, Tikam Aboh, provided a historical overview of the youth’s journey since its establishment in 1984 and paid homage to past student leaders of the village.
