Farmers Protest LIVE Updates: Lathi charge at Punjab farmers at Khanauri By Haryana Police

Farmers Protest LIVE Updates: Farmers, primarily from Punjab but also joined by counterparts from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, have initiated their ‘Chalo Delhi’ march following inconclusive discussions with the Union government. The protest stems from their demand for legal assurance of a minimum support price (MSP) for crops, among other grievances. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha are leading the march to urge the Centre to address their concerns, including the implementation of the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations and farm debt relief.

Delhi traffic advisory for farmers protest

In terms of its impact on traffic, the Delhi-NCR region experienced significant disruptions on Tuesday due to barricades set up at Delhi borders in anticipation of the farmers’ march. Heightened security checks at Noida’s borders contributed to substantial traffic delays, with bumper-to-bumper congestion observed at Ghazipur, Singhu, and Tikri borders starting from 7 am onwards. Additionally, the Delhi airport issued an advisory warning travelers of potential disruptions caused by the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 13.
